I Love You, Mom

Hey, Mom.

Mom? Mommy? Mom! Momma? Mom...

Welcome to motherhood, Mom.

Motherhood is loving your unborn child.

Motherhood is not really ever knowing how to be a mom, but doing it anyway.

Motherhood is staying up until 3 a.m. with a sick baby.

Motherhood is lying awake all night wondering if your newborn is still breathing.

Motherhood is eating an egg sandwich and Doritos while breastfeeding.

Motherhood is not eating for a whole day (or two).

Motherhood is unexplained tears and hormonal outbursts.

Motherhood is struggling to pay for formula and diapers.

Motherhood is yearning for answers, but coming up empty.

Motherhood is bittersweet baby milestones.

Motherhood is hard.

Motherhood is brutal.

Motherhood is amazing.

Motherhood is real.

I love being a mom.

I hate being a mom.

Why did I become a mom?

Why didn't I become a mom sooner?

She would be better off with a different mom.

Motherhood is doubt.

Motherhood is strength.

Motherhood is trying.

Motherhood is doing.

Motherhood is missing your child while they sleep.

Motherhood is dreading the moment your child wakes up.

Motherhood is taking a shower to escape for a little while.

Motherhood is not showering for a week.

Motherhood is showering with the baby three times in a day.

Motherhood is 100 dirty diapers.

Motherhood is amber teething necklaces.

Motherhood is drool...and more drool.

Motherhood is singing made up songs.

Motherhood is drinking cold coffee all day long.

I got this.

I'm never gonna get this.

What on earth am I doing.

Who will you be when you grow up?

Please never grow up.

Motherhood will break you.

Motherhood will make you.

Motherhood will change you.

Motherhood will shape you.

Because motherhood is love

And love is motherhood.

Hey, Mom.

Mom?

I love you, Mom.
